Harm Müller-Spreer and his German-flagged Platoon Aviation crew have officially lifted the 2026 52 SUPER SERIES Season Championship.
This year’s campaign was defined by steady speed and relentless consistency across a record-sized fleet of 16 grand prix monohulls.
BP354 Platoon Aviation’s campaign was anchored by top-tier tactical talent, including two-time America’s Cup winners strategist Jordi Calafat and navigator Juan Vila, alongside Italian tactician Vasco Vascotto, who celebrated his 57th birthday by claiming his fifth 52 SUPER SERIES title.
Despite missing out on the overall season trophy, Takashi Okura’s BP313 Sled concluded a stellar 2026 campaign. Sled dominated early in the season, winning back-to-back regattas—including the Rolex TP52 World Championship in Porto Cervo, Sardinia—and secured second place overall for the year with 246 points.
The week’s biggest headline came from Andrea Lacorte’s BP312 Alkedo Cetilar. In only their second year on the circuit, the Italian crew scored 36 points across eight races to win the Valencia Sailing Week regatta outright. Their performance—capped by a crucial 2nd-place finish in the final race—lifted them to third overall in the 2026 season standings (253 points).

“It’s such a big honor to win in a fleet like this against all these great professionals, super-advanced teams, and 16 boats on the start line. After a long season with so many ups and downs, material breakdowns, and mistakes, being on top of the podium against all these America’s Cup heroes is really special.”
