Organised by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS), the Range Rover Sardinia Cup took place in Porto Cervo from 31 May to 7 June 2026. The prestigious regatta for two-boat yacht club teams, first launched by YCCS in 1978, returned this year after a 14-year hiatus. The seven-race series featured a mix of offshore, coastal and windward-leeward racing, with competitors enjoying spectacular sailing conditions throughout the week.

The Royal Ocean Racing Club secured overall victory in the 2026 Range Rover Sardinia Cup thanks to the outstanding performances of BP347 Ino Veritas and BP216 Garm. Second place overall went to Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, represented by BP346 Django WR and BP292 Django JP.
Owned by James Neville, Ino Veritas delivered a remarkably consistent performance throughout the regatta, posting race results of 1, 2, 2, 1, 2, 3, and 2. The yacht emerged as one of the standout performers of the event, securing the SC1 class title and laying the foundation for RORC’s overall team victory.
Owned by Per Roman, Garm finished third overall in SC2, scoring consistently across all seven races and keeping RORC firmly in contention throughout the series. Combined with Ino Veritas‘ class-winning campaign, Garm‘s dependable performances proved crucial in securing the overall team championship.

A special trophy was presented in memory of Bruno Calandriello, owner of Dida V and a member of the Italian team that won the inaugural Sardinia Cup in 1978 alongside Vanina and Yena. Presented by his son, Filippo Calandriello, the Calandriello Trophy was awarded to the best Italian team, Django, owned by YCCS member Giovanni Lombardi Stronati.
